CATALINA REPORT
I just got back yesterday from participating in the Catalina Trip
with the Plein Air Painters group. We had about 22 artists
participate. Most were from MVAL, but we had artists from other
art groups in the area join us as well. We were blessed with perfect
weather. This is a great trip.... a great way to get away for a few
days and paint, without breaking the bank!!!!
Another trip in the fall is being discussed - think about joining the
next one.... you don’t have to attend the Thursday paint out group
to join in the fun!

PAINTING AND DRAWING MATERIALS NEEDED!
There are a group of autistic adult artists, that need our help
with getting drawing and painting paper for their use.
We are donating colored pens to the group but they are still in
need of watercolor paper and drawing paper.
Please look through your gently used stock and see if you don’t
have materials that some of these artists might make better use
of. Please bring your unused paper and tablets and sketch books
to the meeting June 18th and they will be delivered to these needy
adults!

ART OF THE MONTH
This is our regular monthly sharing of artwork done by
MVAL members. If your bringing a painting, try to get to
the meeting a little early so that it can be hung in time for
everyone to enjoy.
The theme this month is “Seascapes” you may interpret the
theme in any manner you wish!
