MVAL is proud of its efforts to support the artistic efforts of young people in the local
communities. Each year, as the result of the donation of art work, art supplies and books
by its members and business donors, the league is able to contribute several thousand
dollars to local students through the presentation of art scholarships and to art departments
allowing the purchase of urgently needed equipment and supplies.

John Bonnenburger, a nationally known artist whose work was recently featured in a
multi-page article in the December 2007 Watercolor Magic Magazine has donated
 three paintings to be given to the winners of the leagues scholarship donation drawings.
The webmaster was the lucky one on the first drawing The second painting will be awarded
later this year. Members and non members can participate by attending the monthly
MVAL meeting on the third Wednesday of the month.
