​A pristine clean sheet of watercolour paper can often feel very intimidating —no matter its size. When the weight of that blankness makes my hands tremble and my thoughts tighten, I turn to play. To play is to trust your hands before your mind catches up. To let go, and to follow where wonder leads. Watercolour is my companion in this dance—fluid, unpredictable, endlessly responsive.  Paul led us on Zoom with playing with a variety of our art supplies​

Through his workshops and international art retreats, he invites students and educators alike to loosen control, trust the process, and find joy in playing. Rooted in his training in interior architecture and stage design, Paul’s artistic language is richly layered and highly choregraphed. His lines weave and wander, while bursts of colour dance across the surface—gestural, spontaneous yet deliberate. Each piece reveals itself slowly, like a performance built in acts, where structure and improvisation coexist in quiet tension.
